Elliott Outduels Burton, Sets New Track Record

The Shiawassee Shores Pure Stocks would hit the track next for 25-laps. Bob Elliott would start on the pole, but would have anything but an easy ride. Andrew Burton would get up to Elliott on lap three, and the two drivers would race door to door for the duration of the 25 laps, exchanging the lead six times at the line. In the end, it would be Elliott taking win number six, while Burton held on for a close second. Ron Hart, Steve Pelky II and Bob Robinson completed the top five. Elliott set a New Track Record in qualifying with an 18.921.
