Elliott Wins Battle and the War

The next feature on the track would be the Shiawassee Shores Pure Stocks, running 20-laps. Aaron Prince started things off on the pole, but it would be Alex Hagon running up front the next time by. Hagon would soon have a back bumper full of Bob Elliott, but the rookie driver would show veteran resolve as he held off the winningest driver of the season. At the line it would be Hagon crossing it first. However, the young man from Swartz Creek, Michigan would join the likes of ARCA Racing Series Star Erik Jones, in forgetting to visit technical inspection following the race. This would give the win to Bob Elliott. Pat Standley, Eric Lake, Steven Pelky and 2010 Champion Bob Robinson would complete the top five. Pat Standley would take the Dash win, with Rick Gokee Jr. winning the Australian Pursuit. Bob Elliott would officially be crowned 2012 Track Champion, and Alex Hagon would be crowned a well-earned Rookie of the year.
