Pelky Wins First Ever

Steve Pelky II and Pat Standley would start things off and Standley would lead the opening nine laps, before Pelky would find a way to overtake the Owosso, Michigan pilot. Pelky would then have to contend with Dave Parisian. Parisian and Pelky would battle back and forth over the final ten laps of the race, exchanging the lead four times and never straying from each other very much. In the end it would be Pelky down in D and L Auto Sales Victory Lane for the first time ever and Parisian would be forced to settle for second. Bob Robinson came home third with Standley and Bob Elliott rounding out the top five. Phillip Smalley and Eric Lake took heat wins with Robinson setting fast time with a 19.269.
