The Economy Print and Graphics / Chet’s Auto Service Sportsmen would be next up for a 30-lap feature.
Rookie contender, 14 year old Vinnie Miller would lead the field to the green. Miller would lead the opening pair of laps before being overtaken by Dennis Roys, Roys lead would also be just two laps before Chris Begg took the point. Begg would soon after have his hands full with Tom Stone. The two drivers would put on a show around the Speedway, trading the lead back and forth multiple times, before Begg was able to shake Stone with five laps to go. Stone would also end up losing a spot to Vinnie Miller, and a caution with two laps to go would give the teenager an opportunity to claim his first ever checkered flag. However, it was not to be, as spun tires on the restart allowed Begg to get away and claim his second straight feature win. Miller hung on for second with Stone, Billy Hagon and John Forsythe Jr. completing the top five. There no heat races, but Begg did set fast time with a 17.210.
