7-20-13 Fourteen Shiawassee Shores Pure Stocks took to the track just after the heat races for an early 20 Lap Feature Event. Rick Moore led them to the stripe and things got wild immediately. It would take 14 laps before the only caution would come out but the lead changed hands frequently. Dale Spencer and Moore would battle up front as Fast Qualifier, Alex Hagon and Pat Standley charged to the front. Standley was leading when Scott Platz brought out the caution. Standley chose the high line for the restart and Hagon took the bottom. On the restart Dan Gokee made it 3-wide by diving under Hagon going into one. All three cars drifted up the track and Hagon running in the middle was able to nose ahead. Hagon stayed there for the next 6 laps and took home the winnings for the second week in a row. Standley finished 2nd, Bob Robinson was 3rd, Dan Gokee was 4th and Dale Spencer was 5th. Rookie Troy Binkley won his second career Heat race and Ed Newman Jr won the other.
