 One of the most diverse fields in recent memory, the Pro Stocks division will tackle the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval a whopping 21 times during the 2010 racing season! 20 of those dates will be for the 2010 Pro Stocks Track Championship within the Weekly Local Racing Series. With the rules package now mirroring those of Owosso's sister track to the Northeast, the Dixie Motor Speedway, expect this field to be one of the ones to watch in 2010.
Gaines, Michigan veteran, Tony Basalone comes into the upcoming campaign as the defending track champion, but with the expected influx of drivers from all over the Central and Eastern Michigan regions looking to call Owosso Speedway home in 2010, he'll have his hands full and will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to repeat as track champion and snap the 24-year streak of different track champions in this division.
Here are the 21 scheduled events for the Pro Stocks in 2010;
May 1st, May 8th, May 15th, May 22nd, May 29th, June 5th, June 19th, June 26th, July 3rd, July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, July 31st, August 7th, August 14th, August 21st, August 28th, September 4th, the 2010 Season Championships on September 11th, and the non-points 15th annual Owosso Fall Nationals on September 24-26th.
