Next up, meet Street Stock Champion Ron Hart. Ron hails from Owosso, Michigan and races under the number 51. He has been racing since 2007, with a few years off in between. He started his racing career in the Purestock division. Although his racing career may not be as consistent as some others, he is still an excellent driver. He even won the 2021 Street Stock championship to prove it!

Contrary to popular belief, Ron did not come from a racing family. He would ride bikes with his cousins to the local racetrack to watch the races from the grandstands. During his high school years, he spent a lot of time playing the racing simulator game "iRacing" for about 6 or 7 years. It wasn't until then that he finally got behind the wheel and hit the track. His first time racing was also his first time ever being in the pits at a racetrack. Racing has provided him with a great source of competition after high school, as it can be difficult to find sports that are both fun and keep you active.

Ron grew up as a fan of the sport, which has given him a different level of appreciation for it. He doesn't take losses to heart and believes that "we've all been there." The most important thing, in his opinion, is to keep working on your race car and getting seat time. You can't give up after a tough loss, you have to keep driving.

Ron is excited to get back to Owosso Speedway and continue racing. He loves the quality of racing there, especially the style of banking that allows for three and four-wide racing, which makes it so much fun. He is also thrilled about the return of the Street Stock class to Owosso Speedway and the packed fields of cars like the "good old days." In the meantime, he will keep his driving skills sharp through his iRacing club and spend as much time as possible with his two young sons.

This year, Ron is going all in at Owosso Speedway. He has a brand new car that will make its debut for the 2023 racing season, and he plans on racing at Owosso Speedway as many times as possible. This is all thanks to his sponsor, American Sim Racing Club, and his fantastic race crew - his dad, Gary Pelky, and Steven Pelky.
