Rain Dampers Opening Weekend for 2023 Season
Unfortunately, after much anticipation and excitement for what would undoubtedly be the biggest opening night in the 84 year history of the Owosso Speedway, plans were crushed by Mother Nature. With an unseasonably cold and dreary forecast for both Saturday and the Sunday rain date Owosso Speedway officials were forced to cancel the event.
This now will make our events scheduled for Saturday May 6 the opener for the 2023 Young Chevrolet Challenge Series as well as the visiting MCR Dwarf Car series making their first appearance of the season as well. In action will be the Valley Truck Center Modifieds racing for the richest weekly purse in Michigan. Also the Reefer Peterbilt All-American Trucks, McAllister Rentals Sport Compacts, and the M&K Truck Center Pure Stocks.
As is the case with every event for the 2023 season admission is just $14 for adults and anyone 20 years old and younger is free. In addition, if weather prohibits Saturday racing, Sunday afternoon is an available rain date. For additional information find us online at OwossoSpeedway.com.
