"Safety Sam" Becomes "Race Director Sam"

The Owosso Speedway team is excited to announce that current Safety Director Sam Dimitroff has accepted the additional role of Race Director. In addition to guiding the safety team from the race control perch, Sam will put his decades long involvement in and around motorsports to help guide along the program at the Owosso Speedway on race nights.

Dimitroff got his start in motorsports as a part of the Speedway Safety team at Whittemore, Birch Run, and Owosso Speedways before heading up his own safety regime. He also has been a pivotal employee at Wheeler Trucking as their security manager, overseeing facilities all across the United States.

We thank Sam for taking on the role and look forward to his leadership on race nights.
